Why worry?

“We suffer more often in imagination than in reality” — Seneca

Life is unpredictable. Good things and bad things happen all the time. The more we care about those things, the more worry we feel.

Moreover, dealing with a lot of uncertainty from events around us will make us more anxious. The things we can’t control, like future events or other opinions, will easily make us feel miserable.

What can we do about it? 🤔

Control what you can control

Define what you can control, and keep yourself busy with it. The events outside your control, leave it as it is even if it’s important things or things we care about the most. Nothing we can do about it.

In this way, we no longer put our emotions to uncertainty and it will lead to less worry in the end.

“You have power over your mind, not the outside event. Realize this, and you will find strength” — Marcus Aurelius
